Our summer club will be an immersive, 2 week journey into a secluded and magical woodland. We use a combination of structured and unstructured time to channel creativity, and carry out practical problem solving tasks together as a team and individuals.

 

Our schedule will be laid out as follows:

 

Morning

 

Orientation - checking in to our woodland setting and playing simple games to warm up and get to know each other

 

A practical task - carrying out a craft or practical challenge and learning particular skills such as knot tying and lashing, woodland carpentry, survival skills including basic bushcraft, making fire, using tools such as bow saws and whittling knives  

 

Checking in and reviewing our progress 

before breaking for lunch around noon

 

Afternoon

 

Free unstructured time - we will facilitate: storytelling, exploring the woods, group games and team activities

 

Mastery - there will be time also in the afternoon to continue working on any projects or activities from the morning, and to take items we've been working on home at the end

 

Review - we will come together as a group at the end to look at results of morning session and give each other feedback. We will then check in with everyone, giving an opportunity to feed back about the day before heading back to the wood’s entrance and home
